Delete Your Account

You can have your HanSups account deleted at any time. You do not need to give a reason.

How to ask

  1. Email [email protected] from the address on your account.
  2. Say that you want your account deleted. That is all it needs to say.

We act within 10 days, which is the period Korean law allows, and we write back to confirm either way. Deletion is final: we cannot restore the account afterwards, and neither can you.

A Delete account button inside the app is being built, so that you will not have to email anyone. Until it ships, the email route above is the way, and it removes exactly the same things.

What is deleted

  • Your account and sign-in.
  • Your profile: email, display name, photo, chosen language, visa goal, exam date and exam venue details.
  • Your whole study record: diagnostic and mock attempts and the answers you gave, review history, level estimates, streaks, daily plans and progress.
  • Your consent records and any plan access on the account.
  • Your profile photo file, if you uploaded one.
  • Your email address on our mailing list, if it is there.

It is a real deletion, not a flag that hides you. We cannot restore it afterwards, and neither can you.

What is not deleted, and why

Being straight about the edges matters more than a tidy claim.

  • Anonymous usage counts. We keep a record that a tutor explanation was generated, with the question number and what it cost us to run. It carries no name, no email and nothing you wrote, and once your account is gone there is no way for us to connect it back to you. We delete these too when we can identify them, and the app tells you if that part did not complete.
  • Roadmap votes. If you voted on the public roadmap, that vote was recorded against a random number stored in your browser, never against your account. It was never linked to you, so there is nothing to remove. Clearing your browser data removes it from your side.
  • Email we already sent you. Messages already delivered sit in your mailbox, not ours. We cannot reach into your inbox.
  • Backups. Deleted data can persist in routine encrypted backups for a short period before they roll over. It is not restored to the live service.

If you cannot email from that address

If you have lost access to the address on your account, write to us anyway and say so. We will find another way to check it is you rather than leave you stuck.

Just want the emails to stop?

You do not need to delete your account for that. Every promotional email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately. Your study record stays untouched.
